Meet Eric

Eric Last is a lifelong resident of Davis County, committed to building a community where families can afford to live, grow, and belong.

Eric was raised in Centerville and is a proud graduate of Viewmont High School. He went on to earn dual degrees from Weber State University in Spanish Language and Literature and Mechanical Engineering Technology — a combination that reflects his belief in both technical problem-solving and understanding diverse perspectives.

His values were shaped at home. His mother, a Davis County public school teacher, instilled in him the importance of critical thinking and genuinely listening to other points of view. His father, a refinery worker, taught him the value of hard work and showing up every day.

For the past 24 years, Eric and his family have called Layton/Kaysville home. His children attended Davis High School, and he has watched this community grow and change firsthand.

Eric isn't a career politician — he's a husband, father, and neighbor who decided it was time to step up. He's running for House District 17 because he believes Davis County families deserve a representative who understands their daily lives and is committed to keeping this community affordable and welcoming for the next generation.
